Speak French !

Looking for ways to practice your French or meet other cool Francophiles like you? Throughout most of the year, you have multiple opportunities. All levels welcome !

In the past, the French House, was open for lunch en français, any day, Monday through Friday. However, due to the pandemic, the dining room is closed to the public to protect the 26 residents who live and eat all of their meals in the house. Please stay tuned for details about our re-opening.  UW-Madison students who come on average four times a week should consider enrolling in French 301/302, Practical French Conversation, for 1 credit. Join the 40-50 students and 5-10 native speakers à table every day and improve your French in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Click here for more information.

IN LIEU OF our lunches and dinners open to the public, we are offering at least one conversation hour per week.  It’s not a meal, but it is a chance to speak French with other Francophones/Francophiles!
