2018 Summer French Camp
for campers 4-12 years old
June 18-22 & June 25-29
Sponsored by the Alliance Française of Milwaukee
Madison’s French Camp for Youth was founded in 1999 by a native-born Frenchwoman. Designed for children ages 4-12, Madison’s French Camp for Youth teaches French through various themes from the Francophone world. Based on interactive stories, French Camp uses songs, crafts, games, snack time, and role play to develop interest, instill confidence, and provide opportunities for campers of any language level. No previous background in French is required.
JUNE 18-22 C’est le cirque !
Come to the Circus, the greatest show in French! Our campers will love learning about the famous French-Canadian circus troupe, Cirque du Soleil, and the extraordinary acrobats, animals, and other acts that go along with it. Children of all ages will be able to immerse themselves in the magic of the circus, and adults will be mesmerized while watching our outstanding grand spectacle.
JUNE 25-29 Maroc Magnifique !
Have you dreamed of exploring vast deserts, or riding a camel, or even watching a snake charmer? Our campers won’t need their passports for this trip, because we’re turning the French House into a place filled with the wonders of Morocco! Children will learn about the French influence of this North African country and its rich culture through story-telling, along with playing games and making crafts. Save & Exit
To find the French House click here. Parking around the French House is extremely limited. You can drop off at our address, 633 North Frances Street (the last house on Frances, just off of Langdon St.). Drop offs can also happen at the end of Howard Place (put 642 Howard Place into your GPS, look towards the lake & the large red brick house is the French House). If you need to park for a while, unless you are very lucky, it’s best to use the France/Lake Street Ramp (just south of State Street).
