Meet Verona author and native, Carolyn Porter

A stack of beautifully penned letters she found in a Minnesota antique store, 60 years after they were written, led Verona native, Carolyn Porter, on a two-fold journey:

  1. Transform the handwriting into a modern computer font
  2. Uncover what happened to the letter’s author, a Frenchman interred in a German labor camp during World War II

Carolyn recounts her undertaking in her book
Marcel’s Letters: A Font and the Search for One Man’s Fate
